Meet Canon Speedlite 270ex ii
For the longest time, I was looking for a great all-purpose flash for my SLR camera, and the Canon Speedlite 270EX II Flash is exactly what I needed.
When I first started getting into digital photography, I went by the Boy Scouts’ motto of “Be Prepared.”
Unfortunately, this had me hauling around my camera and every single lens and flash I owned, which meant that I would miss tons of photo opportunities because I was taking so long to set up and find the perfect lens and flash combinations, or (during nature shoots) scare off my subject matter.
Luckily, I picked up the 270EX II and my job has become a lot easier.
Canon Speedlite 270EX II Flash Features
Compact & Lightweight – The 270EX II weighs in at 8.8 ounces, and the compact design means you can take it anywhere without adding a lot of bulk to your camera. The metal shoe mount means the Speedlite 270EX II is easy to set up and disassemble on the fly.
Great Flash Coverage – The Canon 270EX II has numerous settings, so I can get lighting coverage from 28mm full-frame, all the way up to 72 feet at ISO 100, and even 50mm full frame lighting up to 89 feet.
Flexibility – Even though the 270EX II is compact, the flash swivels to give a vertical bounce of up to 90 degrees.
Wireless Slave Function – For more complex shots in the studio, at an event, or out in the field, the Speedlite 270EX II Flash can be used in a slave chain and triggered wirelessly with a 2 second delay.
AF Assist – The Canon Speedlite 270EX II features an autofocus assist beam, so you can take advantage of the intermittent flash firing system.
Tele/Wide Function – The 270EX II allows you to easily adjust your angle of illumination, as well as the guide number so you can match your shooting conditions for the perfect flash photos.

My conclusion is that for such a compact and lightweight flash, the Speedlite 270EX II really is great for shooting in every environment.
